Sidenav

Side navigation (Sidenav) a commonly used UI/UX
design element that allows users to explore content and navigate between pages.

Sidenav

A sidenav, or side navigation bar, is a vertical navigation menu typically positioned on the left or right side of a webpage. Sidenavs contain links to different sections or pages of a website, making it easy for users to browse and discover content. The sidenav remains fixed or collapsible as the user scrolls through the page, allowing for easy access to key pages or actions without navigating away from the current content.

Types of Sidenavs:

  1. Fixed Sidenav: Stays visible at all times on the screen, even when the user scrolls.
  2. Collapsible Sidenav: Appears only when triggered by the user, such as by clicking a menu icon.
  3. Expandable Sidenav: Expands to reveal sub-menu items when clicked, allowing for hierarchical navigation.
  4. Responsive Sidenav: Adapts to different screen sizes (desktop, tablet, mobile) for optimized usability.
